Laurel Snyder, author of Orphan Island, Bigger Than a Bread Box, My Jasper June, and over 30 other books, talked to third, fourth, and fifth graders today. A few aspiring student writers also got to have lunch with Laurel and talk books, writing, and being an author. Thank you, PTA, for sponsoring this author visit!
First grade students in Mrs. Shaw's class designed a symbol that represented the influential woman they had researched. Students came to the Library Learning Commons with their design and then used Perler Beads to create their symbol. Come by the Library Learning Commons to see their research reports and Perler Bead creations.
